Down Sizing....Big Time

We started this journey a little over 2 years ago. Leaving our home of 35 years in Marysville, California. Have traveled to many states and Canada, we are now officially consided Texans. Being full timers was something that my mother had always wanted to do, unfortunately my father felt that there had to be a place for him to hang his hat. Which to me would have been Denny's, or any other restaurant, as he seemed to leave his behind most of the time. So maybe this is where this wonderlust came from, plus Chuck being in the military, and "home" was on the move over the years. What ever reason we are enjoying having a back yard that consists of the whole USA, wonderful neighbors, and the chance to enjoy it all. What a wonderful life we have.

Time Flys

Hard to believe that we have been here over two weeks. Getting to know our way around, which helps, as our GPS seems to be out of date for this area, even though just up dated it not too long ago. Have not done any touristy things, just got our golf going. There is a group that plays twice a week at 2 different courses that we have been playing with. And after golf on Thursdays there is a get together to award the winners prizes, which is also a snack attack party. Great! No dinner to worry about that night! Lots of card games going on, so Chuck is happy, he loves his games, and when he has some one to play with makes me happy too. Big craft sale today, and did find a few things that I could not live with out. But they were all really small so it will all fit in, no problem. Couple of mornings a week they have breakfast for a few dollars, and a potluck once a week. The park is only about half full, but they say after Thanksgiving it will start to fill up. Thanksgiving dinner is being catered by the owners of the park, which is nice, so we will be spending that holiday with a couple of hundred friends, so hope that no one is feeling sorry for us ALL ALONE. Been spending time in the pool, doing water excerises, trying to get limbered up, but it does not seem to be helping. Love these golden years.
